photobooth love

Growning up, I loved an old fashioned photobooth. I remember my first real film strip. I was with my mom at Wolsworth's in the Houma Mall. I jumped in the booth by myself and the film strip obsession started. I went to get my brother and then we did one together. Now I live in Austin, and the only place I can find a real photo booth like the one in Wolsworth's is at Amy's Ice Cream. They still have the old fashion booth but it only works some of time and when it does, the results are if'y. Nowadays, you'll see digital film strips but they aren't the same. My favorite and new age alternative is the smile booths.
We had a smile booth at our wedding and talk about a hit! We did it! Anyone can do it! A smile booth is a great alternative to the old boring party favors that you see at most weddings. I decided to dig up some awesome pics from other smile booth parties. It was a great way to loosen the crowd up and get things going on a fun note! Any age can do it, cram as many people as you can, or just go solo. Whatever you do, it's awesome and fun. Something I highly recommend for a party or for a wedding!

OUR WEDDING PHOTOBOOTH

Easy Made Invites

Never send a dull card again!! It's so easy not to. Grab a cool shaped punch, a hole punch, a stamp, whatever, it may be, do it! Your receivers will love you for it! I love the great patterned paper, add a bold stamp in the corner! Walla! Cute simple and completely DYI. Another lovely idea is putting a pretty Dollie in an envelope. I actually did this one but used a pretty vellum envelope. It turned out beautifully! In a world of pretty paper, stamps, and DYI love, lets create like crazy people!

Purdy bride ensemble

I promised myself to be more friendly to my blog. I felt the need to be more personal and loving towards my ideas and thoughts. Then I realized, I'm due to get married in 6 weeks! I'm lucky if I remember to breath. Last night, I realized I have a big shower at the end of the month, a ladies lunch in, engagement photos, a rehearsal dinner, and a bachelorette party. Have I thought about what I was wearing to all these event. Kinda but not really. Then I started to go through my closet. In the past year, I bought bride friendly clothes. Things I knew would come in handy. In honor of the wedding planning, which has it great moments, I decided to show some of the wonderful textures, bead work, and ruffles that will be part of the wedding week wardrobe.

New Shoes!

The other day, I was sitting at my computer reading fashion blogs. Some may say, I was daring to open Pandora's Box. Due to my tight budget (thank you wedding coming up) this was not a wise idea. Surfing the fashion blogs, while the thoughts running through my head were- oh the beautiful purses, I need those shoes, ruffles, i love ruffles. Lately, I have convinced myself to wear all the clothes in my closet. In an effort to save money and to stop buying new stuff all the time.

Thank you to Green Wedding Shoes. This was just what I needed as I continue on my love for everything in my closet before I bring new things in.

The shoes I used were a pair of black Nina shoes I bought at Dillard's three years ago. I never wore them because they were too plain for my taste. NOW, I can't wait to wear them since the upgrade!

I didn't have clear fishing wire but I used thread the same color as the fabric instead. Worked out perfectly for me!
